Doi Mon Chong, nestled within the Omkoi Wildlife Sanctuary, is a captivating mountain hill that comes to life from November to February. This enchanting destination features a variety of attractions, including sightings of the near-extinct mountain goat, rare bird species, and the splendor of Thailand's largest rhododendron flowers. These vibrant blooms grace the landscape from December to February. The vistas of the mountainscape are truly awe-inspiring. During the winter months, the entire meadow field undergoes a magical transformation, turning into a mesmerizing golden expanse, further enhancing the allure of this remarkable site.

In the event that the journey reaches the village of Muser and cannot proceed due to park authorities notifying the presence of wild elephants in the area, resulting in an immediate cancellation and return, Prokket Thailand will refund 75% of the total amount.
In the event that park authorities notify of the cancellation of the journey before it commences, Prokket Thailand will provide a full refund of 100%.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL : Easy to Moderate
The trek covers approximately 5 km to the campsite along mostly gentle forest trails with gradual uphill sections. The terrain is generally manageable, making it suitable for hikers of varying fitness levels. Proper footwear is recommended, but the route is accessible and enjoyable for beginners as well.
ITINERARY :
DAY 1
06:30 : Pick up from your hotel or accommodation, then drive 4.5 hours (approx. 230 km) south of Chiang Mai through scenic hills, forests, and local villages.
10:30 : Arrive at the Muser village, the starting point of our adventure.
11:00 : Proceed to the trailhead with a 4x4 vehicle from local people, approximately a 1.5-hour drive.
12:30 : Lunch amid the mountains and untouched wilderness.
13:00 : Begin your 3-hour (5 km) hike to the campsite through gentle forest trails with gradual uphill sections.
16:00 : Arrive at the campsite, relax, explore, and take photos at your own pace.
19:00 : Dinner around the campfire, enjoy conversations and relax.
DAY 2
05:00 : Wake up and watch the sunrise from Doi Mon Chong summit. Take in panoramic views and enjoy morning activities.
08:00 : Return to camp for breakfast, pack up tents, and prepare for departure.
09:00 : Hike back to trailhead (5 km).
12:00 : Proceed back to the Muser village with a 4x4 vehicle, approximately a 1.5-hour drive.
13:30 : Lunch in the village.
14:30 : Farewell to the peaceful village and relax on a 4-hour drive back to Chiang Mai.
18:30 : Our journey concludes as we drop you off at your accommodation.
